It all began in the windswept fields of Flevoland, where rows of wild blackthorn bushes quietly line the edges of farmland. What started as a local initiative to support biodiversity and traditional land use and hunting traditions soon grew into something greater—something with taste, character, and purpose.

DutchSloeGin was born from the idea that great things happen when craftsmanship meets nature. By collaborating with local farmers, we planted Sloes —blackthorn hedges—along the edges of their fields. These hedgerows don’t just provide the key ingredient for our SloeGin; they also offer safe shelter for wildlife, pollinators, and songbirds. Every bottle we produce is part of a bigger mission: to bring biodiversity back to the Dutch landscape.

But make no mistake—this is no ordinary gin. Infused with hand-picked sloe berries and crafted according to an age-old recipe, our gin is robust, fruit-forward, and deeply rooted in heritage. Its deep ruby red color and rich, spicy aroma are a reflection of the land it comes from—and the people who care for it.
